Support for carers through carer gateway
This program is available to anyone caring for a family member or friend with a disability, medical condition, mental illness, or age-related frailty. If you need assistance navigating the Carer Gateway program or would like to access Alpha Omega Aged Care and Disability Services through it, please contact our Program Manager, Phin Tang, at 0412 879 875.
Carer Gateway, an Australian Government initiative, offers a range of free services to support carers across the country. At Alpha Omega Aged Care and Disability Services, we partner with Carer Gateway to provide temporary in-home respite care, giving carers the opportunity to take a break while knowing their loved ones are in capable hands. Our respite services are designed to offer relief and peace of mind, supporting carers in their essential role while enhancing the wellbeing of those they care for.
Alpha Omega can provide the following services to care recipients so that carers can take a break:
Domestic Assistance
Helping you with light house tasks around your house such as vaccuuming and laundry.
Personal Care
Helping you with tasks involving your hygiene such as showering and grooming.
Transportation
Helping you to get around safely and remain connected in a group setting or accompanied activities.
Social Support
Helping you to stay socially connected in a group setting or accompanied activities.
